It's fair to say that Gandini's best years were behind him by the time the S86 Diamante was revealed at the 2005 Geneva motor show.
Admittedly the project was signed off just five weeks before the show opened so he didn't have much time to come up with a design for the non-running concept, which featured an interior rather more polished than the exterior.
