Chevrolet Corvette Impala (XP-101)
On July of 1955, the Chevrolet design studio staff create a dream car for the 1956 GM Motorama shows, called Corvette Impala. The Corvette grille and grille surround are incorporated, as well as other Corvette components. This hardtop five-passenger sports sedan shows the name "Corvette Impala" on the front emblem and rear license plate. On January 19 of 1956 the Motorama show opens in the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, running for nine days. The 1956 Corvette makes its debut and the Corvette Impala show car is displayed.

Richard, if its fate was that of other concepts then it would ave been destroyed by the breaker's yard usually employed to carry out suc work under supervision of a Chevrolet employee.
This was meant to happen to the 55 Biscayne concept but the GM man wanted to get off on his christmas holiday so left it and reported it scrapped, it wasn't and was unearthed 30 yrs later and is being restored.

There was a 4 door 1956 Impala released on the market which looked like the 1959 model but had 4 small round tail lights, and no turning indicator lights. In Australia where I understand there were only 5 cars imported small chrome hanging indicator lights were hung underneath the the fins over the trunk lid.
The model was not popular and taken off the market and reintroduced in 59 with "tear drop" tail lights; the Chev manufacturers won't acnowledge its exhistance, but I had one as a wedding car when I married in 1957 in Tasmania.
It would have to be an extremely rare vehicle.
