Plastic body served as a preliminary study for the chased aluminum version of the GT80
The newest spotscar proposed by Colani. The design traces its origin to an idea sketch he did back in 1967, which was subsequently developed into the the wind tunnel scale model and the 1/1 mockup of 1977.

Reviewing the course of Colani’s design development over the last ten years, we at once notice that the "C-form" proposed by this designer has followed a course of increasing refinement. One outstanding point by which this design distinguishes itself from conventional body design is to be seen in the treatment of the front end, where air flow is not stopped but is intentionally led up the body. Comes equipped with a variable spoiler. Target drag coefficient: Cx = 0,24.

Этот прототип – очередная реинкарнация идей, заложенных еще в первый концепт C-Form. В разрезе автомобиль представлял собой пару перевернутых крыльев: благодаря этому не только должен был достигаться превосходный коэффициент лобового сопротивления в 0,24, но и огромная прижимная сила.

Кстати, если вам кажется, что дизайн этого автомобиля – это чересчур, возьмите свои слова обратно: за год до этого Колани построил первый безымянный прототип для данного проекта. Вот тот действительно выглядел, как автомобиль-утконос!
