Plymouth released the small Backpack pickup truck concept in time to appear at the 1995 Chicago Auto Show. Based on Neon underpinnings, the 2+2 Backpack featured a MoPar 2-liter OHC 4-cylinder engine that produces 135 horsepower.

Wow! This would have been a great mini-SUV cross over. A 4-cylinder with a peppy little turbo would make this vehicle overall desirable with high fuel prices.

This could have been one of those vehicles sold for $9,400 with a minor interior package.

Looks like fun to drive. One the weekends and a great commuter car for the daily drive to work.
