Buick took a bold leap into the 21st century with the debut of the Enclave luxury sports utility vehicle. Though a concept at that stage, Enclave provided a look at the coming 2007 Enclave production model. Unique, two-arch fenders flowed out from the body on different planes, the signature waterfall grille highlighted the front, and the celebrated three portholes mounted on the trailing edges of the hood blended legend with hi-tech, or as Buick puts it, ‘heritage forward’ styling. Painted in a rich Cocoa Metallic, the exterior was accented with selective chrome trim, and massive 21-inch, chrome-finished cast aluminum seven-spoke wheels. The prototype rode on a 119-inch wheelbase and came powered by a 270 horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6, backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission.
