Joseph J. Cole, a carriage maker built his first American Automobile in 1909. His company was The Cole Motor Car Co. and it was located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The first automobile was a high wheeler with a 90 inch wheelbase. The 1909 Cole was not very popular.
