Ares Design have worked their magic once again, this time on a Ferrari GTC4Lusso, which has been extensively modified to resemble the original 412, the final iteration of the 400 series that was built between 1985 and 1989.
Ателье Ares Design, базирующееся в Модене, представило финальный вариант дизайна гранд-турера, повторяющего облик переднемоторного Ferrari 412 80-х годов. Современная интерпретация под названием Project Pony сохранит стиль и посадочную формулу 2+2 оригинала, но получит современную начинку от GTC4Lusso.

Под оригинальным кузовом ретрокупе, выполненным преимущественно из углепластика, будет лежать техническая начинка от Ferrari GTC4 Lusso. Как и у 412-го, двигатель V12 тут установлен спереди. Отдача 6,3-литрового агрегата составляет 690 лошадиных сил и 697 Нм крутящего момента. Коробка — семиступенчатый «робот». Останется ли на Project Pony полный привод 4RM-S с подруливающими задними колесами, пока неясно.

Оригинальный Ferrari 412 выпускался с 1985 по 1989 год. Всего было собрано 576 экземпляров. Купе оснащалось пятилитровым мотором V12, который выдавал 340 сил и 450 Нм момента. Агрегат работал в паре с механической или автоматической коробкой передач.

В начале октября глава ателье Дэни Бахар показал рабочие эскизы современной интерпретации Ferrari 250 GTO. Донором для возрожденного спорткара выступит Ferrari F12 Berlinetta или более свежий 812 Superfast.

И 250 GTO, и Project Pony станут частью исторической линейки Ares Design, куда также входит Project Panther — современная версия классического спорткара 1970-х De Tomaso Pantera. Информации о стоимости пока нет, однако предполагается, что за автомобиль попросят около 700 тысяч евро – двое дороже оригинального GTC4Lusso.


Ferrari is renowned not only for its sports cars but also for its four-seater models which it has been manufacturing since the 1960s and arguably the finest of the breed were the closely related 365 GT4 2+2, 400 and 412 models it produced during the 1970s and 1980s. The styling reflected a new departure for Ferrari and the car’s Pininfarina-penned lines have a classical elegance that typifies the era. And with this in mind ARES DESIGN has chosen to recreate the iconic Ferrari 412 for the modern era.

The ARES DESIGN Pony will be part of the company’s reborn legends portfolio and will be based on one of today’s iconic models, the GTC4Lusso. It is the pinnacle of the modern era of Ferrari four-seaters, packing a 6.3-litre naturally-aspirated V12 with an output of 690hp. The ARES Pony’s styling is influenced by the 1980s 412 and after extensive computer modelling will be handcrafted with the finest grade carbon fibre not only endowing the car with stunning looks but giving it a low kerb weight, too.

Inside the 412 ARES DESIGN will use the finest quality components with handcrafted leather seats and dash architecture complimented by hand-stitched features and highlights. The carbon fibre coach-built Pony will have all the style and panache of the original 412 but the modern underpinnings of the GTC4Lusso endow it with the sort of performance and connectivity the original could only have dreamed of. ARES will deliver a phenomenal vehicle, representing the exterior grace and poise of the iconic Ferrari 2+2 with the chassis from one of today’s most exceptional vehicles.
