Transmission choices included standard four-speed manual or a Borg-Warner dual-range automatic with floor-shift.
 Four-wheel disc brakes and 4-wheel independent suspension were standard.

This is one of three models available in the XK-E line, which included a 2-Door Coupe and a 2+2 Family Coupe.
The Family Coupe provided fully upholstered rear seats for two in a longer body than the standard Coupe.

The XK-E, known as the E-Type in the homeland (U.K.), was powered by a 4.2 litre twin-cam 265 hp Six. A V-12 would follow in 1971.
