1989 Plymouth Speedster
The 1989 Plymouth Speedster concept car was a cross between a car and a motorcycle.
A molded plastic tub formed the 1989 Plymouth Speedster concept car's boatlike body, inspiring notions of hopping in the car for a trip to the beach.
In keeping with the motorcycle motif, 1989 Plymouth Speedster concept car controls and instruments rode a movable rectangular fork.
The 1989 Plymouth Speedster concept car hoped to interest 18-25 year-olds. Neither the Speedster, nor the Plymouth brand, had any real future.

Plymouth designers crossed a high-performance motorcycle and 2-place roadster and created the Speedster concept vehicle. The Speedster was powered by a Mitsubishi-built 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, had no roof, but featured a roll bar and cut-down wrap-around windshield. Painted black, the body was accented by fluorescent green wheels and yellow bucket seats.
