1989 Plymouth Voyager III

there should be more information on this car that was a concept and the reason why it couldn't be mass-produced. so find the info already!

This was my vision for a dream car except that I imagined a two seated 3 wheel front and a 5 passenger extention not quite so long.. With great gas mileage for front around town shopping and commuting.. electric or alternative power option. And extra power when the back is added.. Cool

I've been a sales manager for Chrysler dealers for 27 years now, can you tell me why this project has never been studied for production and taken seriously, especially with times we are now facing. With gas prices the way they are and are continuing to rise, it seems the time for this vehicle to be born. Back in 1989 or 1990 I think the idea had great potential and now it would be in my opinion an option for many customers, especially families that are trying to reduce their energy consumption. It’s like having two vehicles for the price of one. One that can be used for the whole family when required and the other for those comutes to work and regular run around errands.

I’m convinced that today we have the technology to make this prototype a reality.

What are we waiting for? Let’s take back our lead in the Mini Van market and show these imitators that if they want to lead they have to start from scratch as we did back in 1983 we introduced the first 1984 Caravan/Voyageur.

"it seems the time for this vehicle to be born." .. you kidding? Of course you are a sales manager at Chrysler... not sure why'd you'd want to mention that considering no one's buying them..

Wouldn't it be most prudent for Chrysler to focus on advanced engine technologies, like the 1.6 used here, but in a vehicle that already carries 8 passengers? Imagine how ridiculous the back half of this car would look in a drive way... not to mention parallel parking.

Chrysler got their head out of arse and didn't build these.. time to take your's out as well.

Great idea for the actual days. An hybrid/electric car to run in the city with low cost, and a minivan to road trips with extra space for all family!
