2001 Hummer H2 SUT

Hummer showed the H2 sport utility truck (SUT) as the next evolution of the sport utility truck brand. The SUT, like its brother the H2 SUV had off-road capability, but was more untamed and built for individuals with a rugged spirit. Derived from the production intent 2003 H2, the SUT concept blended a superior off-road capability and versatile rear cargo bed with an adjustable bulkhead and a handsome, no-nonsense interior of polished metal, leather and fabric, and state-of-the-art telematics. Mechanically, the H2 SUT was powered by GM’s 6.0-liter Vortec V-8, mounted longitudinally and mated to a heavy-duty 5-speed automatic tranny and full-time all-wheel drive. Underneath was a heavy-duty independent front suspension and 5-link rear suspension, plus the concept rode on 17-inch wheels and tires.
